Origin (Lux, #4)Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daemon and Katy are back – ready to fight off everything that is thrown their way. These books are such a fun read – lots of action and lots of swoon with a bit of humour and intrigue thrown into the mix. Each and every one of the ‘Lux’ books has an awesome ending, leaving me to sigh heavily and utter the words ‘WTF – did that really juts happen’….. and this one didn’t disappoint. As usual, I am now left waiting in anticipation for the next one!

Crash into You (Pushing the Limits, #3)Crash into You by Katie McGarry
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Crash into You is the 3rd instalment of the ‘Pushing the Limits’ series. First we met Noah and Echo, then it was Beth and Ryan and now it is Isaiah’s turn. I have always liked Isaiah and in Crash into You we get to see inside his head a bit more and work out what makes him tick. Along comes Rachel who is his opposite in every way, except for their shared love for cars. I will admit I am a fan of the ‘Fast and Furious’ films and so I really enjoyed all of the parts of the story that were about the cars, or driving the cars, or fixing the cars or racing the cars!! But if you don’t like cars, then don’t worry – the story still has lots of other things going for it – dominating family’s, panic attacks, social worker, a mum who is recently released from prison and some fancy charity dinners. Noah and Beth are also both involved in the story as well as a new character who I just love – Abby. And of course – there is the swoon which is a big factor in all of Katie McGarry’s books! And then that ending – woah!!
Crash into You was exactly what I expected – a good read, with characters I like and swoon – something to get away from every day life with!

So glad that Isaiah got a book!! And not only that, this book had cars too, another one of my loves. Katie McGarry can write teenage swoon so well. Full review to come.

Infinite Sky by C.J.Flood

Infinite SkyInfinite Sky by C.J. Flood
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Infinite Sky was a shortish, easy read that only covers a few weeks. From the start you know that someone has died and for most of the book I was debating on which two characters it might be. I enjoyed the story (am always interested in gypsies!) and the characters were very easy to get to know. Iris is a 13 year old (but 14 in a month) who seems to be always trying to make things right for other people, namely her dad and her brother Sam, after their mum drove off one day. When she meets Trick, a gypsy who is camping in her paddock, it was great to see someone who actually listened to Iris and was there for her. There developing relationship was so sweet.
And then – the thing happened. The thing that made me hold my breath, that made me turn the pages quicker and quicker, and the thing that eventually made me cry.
